“The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.”
It’s time to put pen to paper and show off your poetry skills to win £50 vouchers: our competition to be a ‘bus balladeer’ is now officially open!
Travelling has inspired some of the great poets throughout history. From W H Auden’s The Night Mail to Byron’s romantic journeys, transport in all its forms has been well and truly represented in verse.
And we’re hoping that it will inspire you to pick up a pen, or a quill if that’s what takes your fancy, and get poetic. Ahead of World Poetry Day on the 21st March, and to celebrate the launch of our new Idea: Be a Bus Balladeer, we are offering you the chance to win £50 Waterstones vouchers.
