Simply Stride are delighted to announce that their Spring Stride Experience will take place on 12 March 2016.
The meeting point will be at Porters and the stride will take place through Southend’s
historical conservation area, with the Mayor and Mayoress. Enjoy tales about the towns interesting past time characters and locations by local genealogist and historian Simon Last.
Also, learn how to move well using the Stride Technique with Simply Stride Founder Karen Turrell!
You will then return to Porters, the Mayor’s Parlour, to a sumptious Afternoon Tea, with a refreshing glass of prosecco! It’s all a balance! After a little respite the
Mace Bearer will take you for a tour of our local heritage, Porters. A beautiful and interesting location that few of us have visited.
The meeting time will be at 12 midday, with the stride taking roughly around 2 hours. Participants will be walking and standing for most of this time, so please wear smart casual clothes for all weathers to enjoy the whole day. After the stride you will return to Porters at approximately 2:30pm with the tea and tour
taking a couple of hours or so.
Tickets are £30 per person, or £50 for 2. Numbers are limited so early booking is recommended to secure your place. Profits will go towards the Mayors Charity Fund.
We hope you can attend the afternoon to enjoy something different with your stride. Please book by contacting Call Lisa Gosling on 07989 969561 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org by Sat 27 February.
